It all began years ago with a "drug" problem. My wife and I had two boys and when they were very young we wanted them "hooked" like us so we drug them fishing, we drug them to the farm were we taught them how to properly handle guns and archery equipment. We drug them hunting and bowfishing and last, but not least, we "drug" them to church. As the boys grew, we drug many of their friends along with us. We have also drug disabled friends along and have taken young, first time hunters out on "Youth Hunts". Now that they are young adults we still get together for Turkey hunts, Bowfishing excursions, and their most favorite is wack'n those Wiley Whitetail deer. In the fall, our house looks like a hunting lodge and the garage looks like a meat locker. We have spent many hours around the campfire sharing those memories with family and friends.
Late in '06 the nightmare came. My wife of 25 years was diagnosed with cancer but after several surgeries, chemo, radiation and a lot of prayers, she recovered enough to return to work. In April of '08 she lost her job of 30+ years due to a plant closing it's doors and moving to Mexico. Sometimes circumstances have a way of dramatically altering your course in life and we were at that point. I did not want her to return to a "regular job" but one that would be rewarding, enjoyable and include our passion for the great outdoors and so began "blindvarmintcamo", the first of two sites to enhance your outdoor experience.
Our desire is to share with you some of that love and compassion for the outdoors. Some products will make your experience more enjoyable and successful, some to express yourself and some "just for fun". So stop by often to "browse" and check out newly added products or send us your hunting, fishing or trail cam pictures for the "Trophy Page". We would love to see how you are doing out there and help you make lifetime memories.
This site is dedicated to Rachel, the love of my life, and others of you who have been stricken with cancer and disabilities and have overcome and become stronger.
We have never regretted our "drug" problem. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time with our boys and their friends.
God, Friends and Family! We would not want it any other way....
